Prudhoe mill is home to two paper machines, seven converting lines, a fibre recycling plant, and an international distribution centre.
On site we manufacture tissue and towel through our paper machines, and our converting lines turn the paper into the finished product for onward dispatch to a variety of customers. The end-to-end process involves a vast array of parts to ensure we can keep the machines running 24/7 and are able to produce our leading tissue brands, Cushelle toilet tissue and Plenty kitchen roll.
About the role
Working as part of a small team you will be critical in ensuring the warehouse facilities which hold approximately 16,000 parts for all areas of the site are effectively managed and customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
In this role you will spend 50% of your time involved with physical warehouse duties and the remaining 50% involved with maintaining stock accuracy through the use of systems and administrative tasks.

What you will do
In this role you will be responsible for the end to end activities linked with Spare parts ( ERSA ) materials for the site. You will be the first point of contact for all internal and external customers for Spareparts with a strong link to the site Plant Maintenance. You will ensure that both goods-in and goods-out processes for parts are followed using S4 SAP, involvement in the MDG process and compliance for internal control in this area.
Key activities include:
Processing inbound deliveries, this involves manual handling of goods, storage within the warehouse and capturing the information to the SAP system
Unloading and loading vehicles with Reach Truck FLT
Processing of all internal items taken from stock, spotting any discrepancies, and investigating accordingly
Preparing outbound items, this involves creating relevant shipping documents, the packing of goods plus the booking of shipments through couriers (online and via phone).
Conducting cycle counts, which includes creating count sheets, performing, and entering the count, and investigating any discrepancies
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the area
With a strong commitment to digitalisation there are opportunities to support projects focused on improving processes and ways of working. This is a very busy and hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. Typical hours are 7.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility around the start and finish time.
Who you are
You will be joining a small team working at pace. Therefore, it is key that you bring the ability to juggle priorities, work to tight deadlines and solve problems.
You will have current or previous experience of working within a warehouse, ideally within engineering stores and be confident in recording and retrieving computer-based data.
You will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including the use of Excel. You will have knowledge of inventory, working capital, obsolescence. Previous experience of managing parts within SAP S4 would be beneficial, although not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.
Due to the need to drive on site a full driving licence is essential to this role. A current forklift truck licence (FLT) would be helpful, although not mandatory as training will be provided for the right candidate.
