Job description

GEODIS designs and delivers tailored supply chain management solutions to overcome its customers logistical challenges whatever their complexity. Operational efficiency is one of the most important principles of warehousing because daily success depends on everyone.

The purpose of the job is to perform various tasks depending on needs and department you work for. You will be working closely with your Team Leader and helping them with all day-to-day tasks.

• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following defined SSOW procedures
• Achieve quality metrics and productivity goals daily
• Process, pick and pack goods in a timely manner
• Proactively communicate with Managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Assist with unloading and loading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
• Sort and place materials or items into racking (CG related)
• Follow workplace Health and Safety rules when handling goods and report Hazards/Incidents
• Assist with warehouse inventory controls, which involves using a handheld scanner (CG related)
• Report any damage or missing goods to the warehouse management team
• Keep a clean and safe environment and optimise space utilisation
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping throughout the site at all times
• Promote Geodis in a positive and ethical manner
• Carry out any additional duties required

Applicant's profile

• Be comfortable in a fast-paced and target driven environment
• GCSE or equivalent
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Flexible attitude to work and hours
• Ability to complete simple addition and subtraction
• Ability to read and write simple instructions
