Job Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will perform administrative duties and tasks for the Shipping and Receiving department.


Job Responsibilities

• Check-in and sign out drivers.

• Process shipping and receiving paperwork.

• Coordinate outbound and inbound appointments.

• Act as a liaison between warehouse and production.

• Handle receiving and finished goods questions.

• Process customer returns.

• Investigate customer shipping discrepancy claims.

• Handle outgoing & incoming parcel shipments on a daily basis.

• Maintain supply inventories. i.e seals, temp tales, and PPE.

• Maintain an organized and clean working area.

• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.

• All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.

• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.


Required Education and Experience


  • Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.  

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.  

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. 

  • Basic skill in Microsoft Office or other similar programs.


Preferred Education and Experience


  • Highschool Diploma or GED equivelent.

  • SAP experience.


Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
