As a Boning Hall Packer at our Bodmin Site, you will play a crucial role in our food production process. You will work in our Boning Hall, ensuring the efficient packing of meat products while adhering to strict quality and safety standards. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The job will suit those with ambition and a drive to progress within the company.
We are specifically looking to develop and train candidates from a packing role into a butchery role developing knife skills and butchery techniques.
Responsibilities
- Pack meat products in accordance with specific instructions and procedures
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Monitor the quality of products, identifying and reporting any defects or issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
- Operate packaging machinery and tools, ensuring proper function and maintenance
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety protocols
You will be working Monday to Friday 06:00 am start to Production Finish. The role offers a full time contract.
Pay starts from £11.94 per hour and can rise up to £14.42 on competency based assessments.
Requirements - Previous experience in a similar role within the food production industry is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Physical strength and stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy packages
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and willingness to follow protocols
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic systems for inventory management
