HGV Skiploader Driver

We are looking for an experienced and qualified HGV Skiploader Driver to join our Waste Management team. As part of the Waste Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a skiploader to collect and transport waste from our sites as well as other locations. The successful candidate will possess the necessary skills and qualifications to work as a HGV Skiploader Driver, and have at least 2-5 years’ experience in the industry.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Operate a skiploader in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Load and unload waste from the skiploader and other vehicles.
• Inspect the skiploader on a regular basis and ensure that it is in a safe and usable condition.
• Maintain accurate records of the skiploader’s performance and the waste it collects.
• Ensure that all waste is collected and transported in accordance with the relevant regulations.
• Carry out daily checks of the skiploader and report any defects or damage to the relevant personnel.
• Ensure that the skiploader is loaded and unloaded in accordance with the relevant health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a good working relationship with other drivers, staff and customers.
• Undertake any other duties as required by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must possess a valid HGV driving licence.
• Must have a valid CPC
• Must have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working as a HGV Skiploader Driver.
• Must have experience of operating skiploaders, HGV driving and waste management.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must possess good communication and problem solving skills.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy loads.
• Must be willing to undergo a medical and criminal records check.
