You’ll be responsible for:

Working with the construction manager to plan site set-up and movement of labour, plant, and materials around site safely and efficiently (e.g. hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery and waste management strategy, catering).

Taking responsibility for internal and external logistics routes through the project phases focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people.

Laying down areas and offloading points.

Taking responsibility to manage the storage of specialist equipment and materials and to run and maintain the inventory control.

Pre-planning the usage of key assets such as hoists to ensure planned assets meet the needs of the program.

Maintaining a secure site.
-
Taking responsibility for all traffic management internally and externally, weighbridges and road network cleanliness.

Managing installation of site accommodation and manage these facilities.

Creating operational procedures and method statements.
-
Organising site inductions, ensuring induction records are securely stored.
-
Creating a schedule of logistics meetings and ensure logistics is represented at site meetings.
-
Describing the characteristics of the site at site inductions, including site access/egress, storage capacity and arrangement by programme, labour, hoists, cranes, etc.

Planning and integrating with key package contractors to meet the needs of the planned programme and de-confliction of onsite space.

Managing sub-contractors to deliver their package of goods or services.

Ensuring logistics activities are not a constraining factor on the program.

Ensuring that material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works or be a hazard to the workforce.

Ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
- Reviewing with the construction manager all risk assessments/method statements/lifting plans in connection with site logistics work.
You’ll need to have\:

Microsoft office knowledge\: Word, Excel, Power Point

First Aid at Work Level 3.
-
CSCS Accreditation - Black (or equivalent).
-
NVQ Level 3 Gold Card (or equivalent).
-
Site Manager’s Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or accepted equivalent qualification.
-
Good communication across various levels of management.
-
Ability to lead and manage multi-cultural workforce.
- Good presentation skills.
