You’ll be responsible for:

  • Forward planning to anticipate and deliver all elements of logistical support to the project.

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

  • Monitoring and reporting the performance of contractors engaged in the delivery of logistic support activities.

  • Adherence to financial and commercial practices.

  • Liaising with external agencies to co-ordinate and deconflict major logistic serials.

  • Providing accurate and timely reports and returns to the SLT.

  • Attendance and participation in the construction planning process to anticipate and plan logistic support elements.

  • Liaison/co-ordination/deconfliction with wider MOD/DRDL and MIP agencies (OSMWG, DESAG, PAU Cttee, TRAFMAN, MIP Logs, Site Ops etc).

  • Planning and delivery of 5 basin logistic ‘projects’ (eg Move of offices, establishment of TTM, Log Support to CCGI etc)

  • Review and maintain all relevant policies (traffic management and logistics plan, waste management plan * / EH & sustainability plan*) * In conjunction with others.

  • Production and submission of statutory and procedural processes, (eg change requests, concessions, RAMS, PMIC etc).

  • Subcontractor reviews and KPI monitoring.

  • Resource planning/headcount forecast.

  • Site layout; planning and implementation of changes.

  • Space management (inc storage containers, generators and vehicle parking).

  • Rationalisation of resources, ie vehicles, plant & trailers, storage containers, support personnel.

  • Stores accounting\: creation and maintenance of a comprehensive inventory of all project assets.

  • Waste management

You’ll need to have:

  • Ability to predict, assess, prioritise and plan a diverse range of operational support functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including English language.

  • Proficient in all common computer and IT applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint/Teams).

  • Awareness/familiarity with applicable regulatory standards\: (CDM, H&SAW, Fire Safety, COSHH, DGPR etc).

  • Experience at a similar level within a demanding and highly regulated work environment.

  • Experience in a logistic or operational support role.

  • Experience within the construction Industry.

  • Security Clearance (Min of BPSS; SC once in role).

  • CSCS Card (Demonstrating mandatory level of HSE awareness in a construction environment).

  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2 / APM or similar).
