Job Purpose / Overview: To oversee the daily Warehouse Operations of a busy Distribution Centre, monitoring and mentoring all staff in their daily tasks, whilst adhering to set KPI’s pertaining to Outbound/Inbound/Stock Control/Health and Safety/HR/Hygiene and Housekeeping. Please note this role will additionally require the incumbent to be hands-on daily, working alongside operative staff on the warehouse floor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in the pick, pack and despatch operation, ensuring exceptional accuracy and standards.
  • Oversee and assist in product putaway/replenishment.
  • Conduct stock counts and investigations, and assist with both Customer Service and Stock Control enquiries.
  • Labour plan, oversee and assist in container de-canting and palletising/wrapping of inbound/outbound goods.
  • Forklift activities – loading/unloading/receiving/replenishment.
  • Ensure accurate data is entered into the WMS using hand held scanners.
  • Adhere to all warehousing handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Maintain standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Security throughout the warehouse, including key holder responsibilities.
  • Oversee all HR functions on site, staff timekeeping and holiday responsibility, disciplinary accountability etc.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous warehouse experience as a Manager or Supervisor is essential.
  • Counterbalance FLT Licence essential. Narrow Aisle Flexi/Bendi FLT Licence beneficial.
  • Angling experience / knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes
  • Self-Starter and proactive
  • Excellent communication and work ethic.
  • Analytical experience and an eye for detail.

Hours: Primarily Monday to Friday DAYS. Due to the seasonal aspect of our business we are looking to implement ‘annualised hours’, with peak hours being worked April through August, and during November.
