Hours                5 out of 7 days (45 hours per week)
Salary                £30,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in Winsford. The ideal candidate will effectively utilise our warehouse operating systems and manage storage requirements. Key responsibilities include implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures, as well as overseeing the processes for receiving and delivering items through the warehouse. Additionally, the role involves managing and organising inventory efficiently.

A key responsibility will be ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors. Role and Responsibilities
  • Utilise warehouse operating systems to manage storage requirements.
  • Implement, enforce, and evaluate warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the processes for receiving and delivering items.
  • Efficiently manage and organise inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors.
  • Conduct packing material stock takes.
  • Monitor vehicle and equipment service sheet returns.
  • Perform weekly workplace inspections.
  • Address corrective actions from defect sheets.
  • Identify and resolve potential hazards.
  • Conduct packing comparison checks.
  • Manage site waste


Requirements


Qualifications and Skills

·        Experience as a warehouse operative.
·        Forklift Truck licences are essential (Counterbalance & VNA (Articulated)truck).
·        Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
·        Proven ability to implement process improvements.
·        Strong Organisation skills.
·        Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
·        Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
·        Excellent communication skills.
·        Qualification in logistics, supply chain management is desirable.
·        Containerised Storage Experience Preferred.
 
Additional Notes
·        Due to the volatile nature of jobs coming in on-short notice, flexibility to the nature of the industry is key.  This role my require some weekend working.
