At GXO, we recognise that it’s our people that help keep the nation moving. From receiving and storing products to picking, loading, and dispatching orders, you could be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working in a multi temperature environment, on an ‘any 5 days out of 7’ or Fixed shift, on a rotating pattern, covering the hours of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, or night shift from 22:00-06:00.

Like the sound of what we have to offer but can’t get to work due to transport…. No problem we can provide a bus service from Leeds.

Pay, benefits and more:

As a Warehouse Operative you’ll get:

• An hourly rate of £13.44 per hour for any 5 from 7 days, £12.39 per hour for fixed shift pattern + additional premium of £2.65 for hours worked between 18:00-06:00


• Weekend premiums of £1.01 per hour for Saturdays and £1.59 per hour for Sundays


• Overtime is paid at 1.5 for 6th shifts worked and after 160 hours worked per month


• Additional freezer allowance of £80 paid every 4 weeks


• Qualified first aiders allowance of an additional £25 every 4 weeks


• Training allowance of £10.00 per day for trainer out new starters once qualified

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Accurately pick orders from a diverse range of products using a voice-picking system.


• Assist with various warehouse duties as needed throughout your shift.


• Adhere to all health and safety protocols within the warehouse environment.


• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required—comprehensive training provided!

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Willingness to work in a multi temperature environment


• Previous experience in a similar position would be advantageous


• Flexibility and a ‘can do’, right first time and passionate approach


• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling, and pushing
