Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager you will be working as part of a team in a busy distribution center, under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Operations Manager.

The Warehouse Operative’s primary role will be to accurately assemble customer orders, efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, and ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped on time. You will need to meet minimum productivity and quality standards and comply with policies and legal requirements about the role.

What You’ll Do

  • Retrieves stock from inventory and prepares for shipment by customer requirements and distribution processes and procedures. Verifies the accuracy of orders
  • Check inbound and outbound goods to ensure that items and quantities are correct and that there is no damage
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Utilizes an RF handheld unit to fulfill customer orders
  • Data input onto the warehouse management system
  • Ensure all pallets are wrapped tight and per Company procedures, must make corrections if needed
  • Operates material handling equipment as trained to move, convey, or move product from the picking area to the dock
  • Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • General administrative duties as required in the role
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Working safely and adhering to the H&S Act 1974

Physical environment/working conditions:

The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for long periods throughout the day. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

 

Bring It

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a retail distribution warehouse utilizing WMS technology
  • Ability to use with training, handheld devices, and bar code scanners in a WMS environment is required
  • Understand basic inventory, warehousing, and stock procedures
  • Previous experience with Manual Handling Equipment preferred but not essential
  • Reach / Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck experience in a multi-pick environment preferred or willing to undertake training
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Experience using computer skills (Microsoft applications)
  • Previous experience in a consumer goods environment preferred
  • Demonstrate a passion for our brand and warehouse environment

 

Salary range: £22,000-23,000 (DOE)
