IRCA is a leading international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry and gelato markets, serving independent producers as well as large food manufacturers (e.g. CPG). Core products include chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.
The Company, headquartered in Italy, was acquired by Advent International, the global Private Equity firm, in July 2022, and has a strong track record of growth over the last decade. IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently acquired a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high-value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.
This transformative deal created a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022)
Duties
- As a customer facing Operative you will ensure that all driver’s, visitors and contractors that you encounter feel welcomed and leave site with a positive experience of IRCA Group (Pocklington).
- Operation of Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks.
- Ensure that Inbound and Outbound vehicles comply with Food Safety Standards.
- Conduct accurate material movements on the SAP system using a RF Gun and/or PC.
- Complete inbound/outbound paperwork, unit/pallet labels, check sheets etc. as required.
- Load and unload pallet material.
- Unload bulk materials.
- Invert, wrap and put away pallets.
- Pick per FEFO (First Expiry/First Out) for internal and external orders.
- Conduct Inventory Daily/Cycle/Year End counts as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including ongoing training.
- Support business KPI targets.
- Proactively contribute to your regular 1-2-1 goal and development meetings.
- Ensure that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure a clean working environment which may include scissor lift operation as a trained operator.
Experience
- Ideally you will have experience working in a Food warehouse environment, but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Hold a valid Reach Forklift Licence. A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is also preferred however training may be provided for the right candidate. (Both would be ideal)
- You should be punctual, have a keen eye for detail and must have a good understanding of English both verbal and written.
- Ability to work alone and as a team supporting colleagues especially during times of high workload.
- You will ideally have experience of using an ERP system and be computer literate.
- You will be comfortable with completing paperwork.
- He willing to work additional hours to ensure continuity of warehouse operations.
