A great opportunity to join us in a varied role combining warehouse work with shunter duties. If you are a qualified HGV driver looking for a new challenge where you are doing less driving but still using your driving skills, then this could be the role for you.

As the UK industry leader, we offer job security and career development – with the family feel, rewards and recognition of our friendly warehouse team in Eastleigh. We take pride in looking after our people. So, as well as plenty of perks, a generous salary, realistic bonuses and other financial rewards, you’ll enjoy the training and support to go far.

In the warehouse you will pick and check the quality of these ambient, chilled, and frozen food items, ready for our drivers to deliver.  The shunter element of the role means you’ll be responsible for our 14T, 18T and 26T multi-temp vehicles on site, setting and monitoring their temperatures, reporting any defects and shunting them around the site to ensure optimisation of our loading operation.  It starts with a full induction, but with our backing you will complete an extensive training plan, including slow manoeuvring.  So, once you’re in, there are plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles and move up – if that’s what you want to do.

To join us in this role you must be a qualified HGV Class 2 driver to fulfil the shunter element of the role, however 80% of your time will be in the working in the warehouse. Safety conscious and excellent spatial awareness goes without saying!  You will be calm under pressure and self-motivated to work in conjunction with your team to ensure completion of vehicle loading.  In return, you’ll enjoy job stability and benefits such as:

  • Pension scheme
  • Generous annual leave with option to buy more
  • Heavily discounted quality food
  • Reward and recognition
  • Free food days, family days and summer BBQs
  • Charitable events to get involved with
  • On-site dining and break areas
  • And last but not least, a health and wellbeing programme.
