Job Description

Join our team in York as a Warehouse Operator! 

As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food manufacturing warehouse. Your responsibilities will include managing stock, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the right products are available when needed. This position is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock and raw materials.
  • Prepare and pack products for dispatch according to customer orders.
  • Ensure stock is accurately recorded in our inventory management system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks.
  • Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment (experience in food manufacturing is an advantage).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Basic computer skills for stock management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • FLT licence. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

Hours - Full-time (Monday to Friday) 

Shifts - 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm 

Salary - £25,000 per annum
