Warehouse Stock Assistant (5 positions)

Job Location: Winsford

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Fixed term for 6 months

Salary: £22,074 per annum based on 35 hours per week

 







Could you play a key role in our warehouse team, preparing donated items for our shops?

 

Your mission will be to expertly sort and process an array of donated stock, from donors and the public, which then make their way to our shops. 

At your local charity shop, the journey of helping those in crisis begins. Our shops are filled with clothing, accessories, and gifts, ranging from vintage gems to preloved fashion treasures. Your efforts will ensure that these items reach our shops across the country, ready to make a difference. All profits go towards supporting people in crisis, both locally and globally.





What will a day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Assistant involve?



  • Processing donated stock, assessing it for quality and value and packaging it ready for delivery and distribution. 


  • Working with our E-commerce team based at the same location to identify donated stock that can be sold through online platforms to maximise income and impact.


  • Ensuring products are sorted to and labelled correctly for sale in the shops to generate the best income for the British Red Cross.


  • Meeting product quantities requirements ready in time to fulfil orders by a specified date 


  • Working with Warehouse Managers to maximise productivity and income generated from all stock sorted and completing productivity trackers.


What does it take to be a successful Warehouse Stock Assistant?



  • Strong organisational skills; you're able to prioritise tasks to ensure that targets are met, and orders are fulfilled


  • To be a great team player; you can work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives


  • To be physically able to lift and carry loads (within Health and Safety Manual Handling criteria).


Shifts are Monday to Friday 2.30pm - 10pm with half hour unpaid break.
