Opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor working with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Safe Operation: Safely operating a forklift to move, lift, stack and arrange materials and equipment within the construction site warehouse.  Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations for forklift operations
  • Load Management: Properly loading and unloading materials onto/from trucks, shelves, racks, or designated storage areas using the forklift.  Ensuring that loads are balanced and secured to prevent accidents
  • Inventory Management: Supervising the organisation and management of materials, tools, and equipment in the construction site warehouse.  This includes tracking inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the availability of necessary items for construction activities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Overseeing the receiving process for incoming materials and ensuring that they meet quality and safety standards.  This involves inspecting shipments, verifying quantities, and documenting any discrepancies or damages
  • Storage and Organisation: Arranging materials and tools in designated storage areas based on categories or project requirements.  Ensuring that items are stored safely to prevent accidents and damage
  • Issuing and Distribution: Assisting in the issuance of materials and tools to construction teams based on their needs.  Ensuring that the right items are provided in a timely manner
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforcing safety protocols within the warehouse, ensuring that materials are stored properly to prevent accidents, and complying with relevant safety regulations and guidelines
  • Documentation and Reporting: Recording transactions accurately, including material receipts, issuances and returns.  Assisting with the preparation of inventory reports as needed
  • Waste Management: Participating in proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with waste management regulations
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping the warehouse clean and organised, and participating in routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and functional workspace
  • Material Handling: Physically moving, loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment using appropriate lifting and handling techniques to prevent damage or accidents
  • Update project software according to receipt and distribution of project materials.  Keep and monitor the daily records of materials in the group storage.
  • Use of hand and power tools to dismantle, unpack, or assemble packaging.
  • Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
  • Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.


You must:

  • Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • ILM Level 3 Award C&BE + Nuclear Unit or NECS (Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor)
  • Material Handling License
  • LATS or SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Hold CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial projects.
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)
