Kinnerton - Sherburn in Elmet

 

About the role

 

Kinnerton Confectionery is looking for someone with Hygiene Operative experience, who can maintain high standards of cleaning and housekeeping preferably with experience within a food manufacturing environment, however, full training will be given.

 

Shift Pattern: weekly rotating (The successful candidate MUST be able to do the below shifts)

 

Week 1: Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 22:00 & Friday 10:00 – 18:00

Week 2: Sunday – Thursday 22:00 – 06:00 (finishing Friday morning) 

 

Payrate: £12.53

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleaning, and housekeeping and adhere to all relevant site & job cleaning schedules and work instructions.
  • Record the completion of relevant cleaning activities and ensure due diligence by Company Procedures. Also, responsibility to report and record incomplete tasks and duties, to ensure effective corrective action may be managed for critical tasks.
  • To ensure effective segregation and correct disposal of the out-of-spec product, waste, recyclable materials etc.
  • To identify and communicate any food safety, pests or environmental issues with Management.
  • To adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and The Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • To follow all job-specific and HACCP instructions, training, guidelines, and briefings.
  • To ensure key, critical plant and equipment are clean and available for operating safely and hygienically to contribute efficiently as part of a team to achieve the departmental KPIs.
  • To share knowledge and/or best practice with other team members.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work using own initiative.
  • Good organisational skills
  • To make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in hygiene/cleaning within a food manufacturing or similar environment is desirable, however, full training will be given.
  • Safe Working with Chemicals/ COSHH Training or knowledge/willingness to take on training provided by Kinnerton.
  • Desirable - Experience working within a hygiene team.
  • Willing to learn
