At Humdinger  we take nuts, seeds, fruit and pulses and turn them into delicious snacks for both own label and branded ranges. We are based in Heckington (Sleaford) Bromborough (Formally Sun Valley Ltd) and Hull and we are part of the Zertus UK & Ireland Snacking & Chocolate Market Unit partnered with other food manufacturers across the country.  

 

We are looking for Machine Minders to join the team here at Humdinger in Heckington. You will be responsible for the Optimised running of a single VFFS (Vertical Form Fill & Seal) bagging machine and multi-head filler. Improving efficiencies and meeting all operational targets. 

 

 

Hourly Pay: £13.17

Hours: Monday - Friday, 22:00 - 06:00

Breaks: x2 20 minute paid breaks

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Right 1st Time Quality of all products produced.
  • Ensure the line is run to its optimal capacity, minimising changeovers & improving yields
  • Ensure that all aspects of shift/Line quality are adhered to
  • Ensure all basic mechanical defects are repaired, either through own capability or with Engineering assistance
  • Constantly look to improve the performance of the line through basic CI.
  • GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) & GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) are adhered to at all times.
  • All downtime/losses are recorded.

Qualifications

  • Strong People skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reasonable level of Computer Literacy
  • Basic Mechanical skills
  • Working experience within an FMCG environment (ideally Food)
  • Previous experience with CCPs and quality paperwork in a food environment (Desirable)
  • Completion of Level 2 Food Safety (Training provided by the company if not held before starting)
  • Good knowledge of check weighers & X-Ray machines (Desirable)
