Factory Packers - 8am to 5.30pm - Poole

Job Description

We are recruiting for Factory Packers for a long established meat wholesaler in Poole, Dorset.

The ideal applicant will be eager to progress and go through a full training program to become a fully skilled factory operative.

However, we are looking to develop people who are keen to learn a new trade so these skills are not essential.

• Starting rate for unskilled candidates is £10.42 per hour and will rise after probationary period to £11.00 per hour approximately.


• Quarterly attendance bonus of £300 is paid following probation period.


• Overtime paid at time and a half after successful probation period.


• 8am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday


• Weekends off.

• You can pay £22 per month for a meat hamper containing Beef Joints, Pork Joints, Chicken, Meat Balls plus other items. 

Responsibilities:

• Training to de-bone chicken supremes and turkey leg


• Packing meat into packets after quality checks


• Ensuring GMP Standards are followed.


• Helping out in other areas of the factory as and when required.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Food manufacturing experience desirable but not essential


• Will consider applications from fishmongers, chefs and retail butchers.


• Numeracy and reading skills required to work to customer specification.


• Willingness to work in a repetitive role and cool environment.
