Job Type: Permanent – Full Time


Back Shift - 37.5 hrs per week (Monday to Thursday)


Salary - up to £11.29 per hour + 30% shift premium after 17:00.


Hours - 37.5 hrs - Mon - Wed 14:00 – 00:00 & Thurs 14:00 – 23:30


(30-minute unpaid lunch on all days)


 


The Company:


Distributer of decorative rain screen cladding panels and fixing systems, operating out of 12 facilities across the UK and Ireland.


Job Purpose:



  • The individual will be responsible for dressing all welds to an architectural cladding finish, using various hand tools such as grinders and sanders. They must ensure all H&S requirements are adhered to whilst completing given tasks in a timely, efficient and effective manner. This role will also require the individual to support / assist colleagues within the factory,operating various other equipment and machinery, as and when required.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Skilled and experienced operator of electrical and air driven hand tools (specifically grinders and sanders)

  • Complete pre use checks and carry out basic maintenance tasks on hand tools and equipment, in line with company/manufacturers guidelines.

  • Support / assist colleagues in the factory - operating various other equipment and machinery, as required

  • Perform manual handling duties, ensuring manual handling procedures are adhered to

  • Maintain standards of health & safety, hygiene and security for work environment, equipment and products

  • Any other reasonable requests from Management


Essential:



  • Skilled / experienced in the use of electrical and air driven hand tools (specifically grinders and sanders)

  • A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, looking for solutions rather than problems

  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and work ethic


Desirable:



  • Experience in a construction / manufacturing factory environment

  • Valid forklift truck licence (desirable but not essential)
