We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join our Warehouse team.

​As a Material Handler, you are a key part of our business supply chain. Your responsibilities will include picking of materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production, working cross-functionally as a key contributor and maintaining materials and other records.

About the role

As a Material Handler this role will focus on: 

  • Picking materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production.
  • Receiving goods in, material storage, stock checking, counting and kit picking to ensure accurate, standardised and timely supply of material components to Production.
  • Recording and reporting inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

In your role as our Material Handler, you will:

  • To receive in goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in the designated locations within the Warehouse
  • Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Material (BoM)
  • Manage and maintain stocks of consumable items, purchase stores consumables in line with budget and minimum stock requirements.
  • Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes, reporting shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or, in their absence, to Production/Supply Chain
  • Ensure that all items within the Warehouse are booked out accurately to receiving departments, at no time allowing free access to unauthorised personnel

About you

To help Mirus continue our journey of growth, you will bring your expertise within a production capacity, a passion for innovation and drive for operational excellence along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Experience working within a busy Warehousing or stock control function within either engineering and/or manufacturing/ production
  • In-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
  • A basic understanding of English - both written and verbally
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
  • Knowledge of the operation of ERP and MRP systems
  • Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence would be advantageous

Personal skills / attributes:

  • Willingness to learn and highly self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills

Eligible to work in the UK and ability to work flexible hours, as required
