Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Member (Days) to join us on our Micheldever contract in Greenford. The warehouse team member will work from Monday to Friday to pick and load all customer orders due to be transferred to our Ashford depot in Kent, and also our own local van deliveries.


 


Overview


We are looking for a Warehouse Team Member (Days) to join us on our Micheldever contract in Greenford.   The warehouse team member will work From Monday to Friday to pick and load all customer orders due to be transferred to our Ashford depot in Kent, and also our own local van deliveries.


Shifts:


Day shift - Monday to Friday


How will you contribute?


·         Accurately pick goods for transfer to other depots or customers


·         Ensure location information is up to date and accurate when locating goods in the warehouse


·         Carry out stock rotation activities 


·         Ensure paperwork is correctly filled out 


·         Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.


·         Making sure orders are despatched on time 


·         Carrying out spot checks and audits  


·         Auditing stock movements across warehouse and resolving any discrepancies 


·         Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve ways of working & processes.


·         Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others. 


·         Report any injuries, accidents and any Health and Safety issues. 


·         Adhering to procedures and practises according to the training received. 


·         To participate and be involved in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement


What will you bring?


·         Previous experience in a similar role is preferred


·         Experience in warehouse / is preferred.


·         Results orientated and can work to schedules 


·         Able to lift and handle goods 


·         Good degree of literacy and numeracy 


·         Understands the basics of Health and Safety procedures 


·         Good communication skills and time management 


·         Customer service skills 


·         Ability to work quickly under pressure 


·         High level of attention to detail 


·         Ability to accept and adapt to change 


·         Proactive in approach 


·         Enjoy working within a team
