Packer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for the packing and manufacture of skids and crates for system dispatch as required


• Responsible for ensuring product is labelled and marked


• Packing of spares items for dispatch via couriers


• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment if necessary.


• Daily cleaning routines of all equipment and surroundings


• Comply with all NOV Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures. 


• Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• FLT license (optional)


• Experience of manufacturing packing crates and skids within a manufacturing/warehouse environment

• Case making qualifications or equivalent

• FLT license 

• Working in a packing/warehouse environment


• Basic packing for UK and export requirements 


• Case making for export requirements


• Working with wood working machinery

• Basic reading, writing and mathematical knowledge


• Manual handling, Slinging and lifting

Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions. 

Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.

Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction.

To be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
