Wood are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to be responsible for delivering the assurance plan across the global Consulting business unit.  

This position will be ideally based in the UK on a hybrid basis into any of our UK offices. However, for the right candidate we will consider applications globally to work on a hybrid basis from one of our global hubs.

The Role 

 

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will have full responsibility for the oversight and governance of the Quality Assurance plan across the consulting organisation. This will include full accountabilities for all certifications and management of the Business Management System on a global scale for Consulting.  

As part of this role the successful candidate will work with the wider Quality team and senior stake holders, to ensure adherence to Quality management measures and systems. This will also mean complying with ISO 9001 requirements where applicable. You will report to contract/project or regional management on the performance of quality across consulting, proposing solutions and continual improvement. 

This position will report directly to the Consulting Quality Director, as such you will have the opportunity to deputise for them in their absence.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the effective delivery of Quality systems and processes, who is keen to utilise their experience with quality management systems in order to make a positive impact on the service delivery across Wood’s Consulting organisation.

Responsibilities

The key objectives for this role are:

  • Management of all aspects of quality across the consulting business unit globally
  • Implementation of quality management system requirements, ensuring compliance with client requirements and/or ISO 9001 requirements
  • Management of audit and assurance programmes for their designated business area (planning activites, allocation of auditors)
  • Provides oversight to NCR actions and works with action owners for efficient closure of actions 
  • Provides oversight to the BU certified offices to ensure that scheduled management reviews are conducted
  • Manages quality management system reviews and their outputs
  • Ensures that sufficient quality processes are deployed to manage product and service delivery
  • Management, reporting and analysis of data arising from non-conformance, corrective actions and other key quality indicators
  • Undertakes investigations of quality related failures
  • Understands and identifies emerging stakeholder requirements and establishes plans to address these
  • Quality representative and interface with top management on all quality related matters
  • Actively participates in the wider quality network both offering and taking on good practices

Expected:

  • Degree/Diploma or local equivalent in quality management or related discipline 
  • Lead Auditor qualification by recognised industry body 
  • Formal training in recognised root cause analysis techniques (essential) 
  • Significant previous experience in a Quality assurance role across highly regulated industries 
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19011 and auditing protocols
  • Proficient in the use of continual improvement tools and techniques 
  • Proficient in the analysis of processes and data
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, internally and externally at all levels of the business

 

Desirable: 

  • Membership of CQI/ASQ or country specific recognised professional body
