Position: Sales Manager - Espresso Warehouse
Location: Field-based - UK
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Days:      Monday to Friday (40 hours)
Salary:      £28-30,000 per annum + company vehicle

Role Purpose:

The Sales Manager role is to win new business and support EW and MA Sales Teams to achieve the agreed sales targets, group profitability and business goals by managing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
•   Maintain an up to date journey plan in Outlook
•   All account records are in order and comprehensive and must be kept up to date
•   Prior to making a customer visit, use customer league table and gap analysis to ensure all accounts are making regular purchases
•   Full Barista kit and full sample range is available in car as part of boot stock kit
•   Well presented, tidy and smart as per company standards
•   Company property (car, phone, laptop etc.) is clean and in good working order
•   Company car is kept clean and tidy and in good working order at all times

Existing Customer Development
•   Recognise opportunities to grow customer value using gap analysis report
•   Ensure the decision maker is met and key objectives are delivered in every interaction where relevant
•   Make a positive contribution to the customer’s sales and work with them in all aspects of their business
•   Make effective use of all marketing support materials
•   Maintain records for all accounts
•   Respond to and deal with any customer issues within 24 hours


Securing and Development of New Customers
•   Develop a prospect plan that details current opportunities within the area
•   Make effective use of all materials and product samples where appropriate
•   Present the features advantages and benefits to all prospects


Sales Communication
•   All sales visits are completed and logged on a daily basis
•   All prospects are logged on a daily basis
•   Communicate major customer and prospect activity on the pipeline prospect report
•   Feedback outcome of every prospect appointment to Espresso Warehouse Manager


Sales Administration
•   All customer issues must be dealt with promptly
•   Monthly mileage summary needs to be with line manager by the 10th of each month
•   Expense claims should be submitted to your line manager on a weekly basis (no more than monthly if expenses are minimal)
•   Company “Y” account maintained and accurate


Teamwork
•   Espresso Warehouse will comprise of a small lean team of core roles and by default there will be a requirement for cross functional assistance. Other duties will

    be carried out as necessary or as specified to an agreed standard and timescale.

Experience:
Essential

• Winning/writing new business
• Proven track record of achieving excellent new business results
• Previous experience of selling at high level
• Delivers training sessions to customers
• Manages national level accounts
• Previous field-based role experience, visiting customers on-site

Desirable:
• Experience gained in a coffee service or food service industry or similar

Education / Qualifications / Training:
•   Educated to ‘A’ levels or equivalent
•   Full and valid UK Driving Licence

Experience:

Essential
•   Demonstrable experience in a field sales role that is focused on achieving targets and delivering excellent customer service
•   Experience of working in a highly demanding, structured and fast paced environment Desirable:
•   Experience of coffee and some training skills are desirable although they are not essential as full coffee training will be provided

•   Possess excellent selling skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the selling process
