Unloader (Suffolk, VA)

Manual Unloaders are needed in Suffolk VA!

Lumper will count, stack, measures, and verifies contents of shipments against lumping receipts.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm

Pay: Production based can earn up to $120-$150 per day

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs


• Hand wrapping tires on pallets and moving to staging area


• Cleaning and other duties as assigned


• Communicate with scheduler and receivers for the daily workload.


• Examines articles for defects and sorts of articles according to the extent of the defect.


• Manage dock space to ensure efficient work methods.


• Comply with safety policies and procedures.


• Wear required personal protective equipment.


• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.


• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


• Must be detail oriented.


• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
