Hours of work: 40

Days: Monday-Friday

Times:7.30am - 3.30pm

Rate: £11.90 per

All applicants must be aged 18 and over due to use of heavy machinery.

                      

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all aspects of warehouse cleaning are done to the specified standards in line with standard operating procedures and the agreed warehouse cleaning schedule.

All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix

Key Accountabilities

  • Cleaning of the warehouse following the specified cleaning schedule
  • To ensure that all calls requesting a cleaner are responded to in an efficient manner
  • To ensure that the cleaning stations all contain clean mops and clean water
  • To ensure that the compactors are emptied in accordance with the manufacturers recommended guidelines
  • Compactor area to be cleaned at the end of the shift
  • All cardboard cages to be emptied and returned to their place within the warehouse
  • Identify and report any failures to follow or complete the cleaning schedule and escalate to the attention of the Duty Manager
  • To ensure that the cleaning schedule is signed off by the Duty manager or Supervisor at the end of each shift
  • Identify and report any equipment failures to the Duty Manager
  • Adhere to all aspects of Health & Safety at all times
  • Any other reasonable task requested by management

Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable

No managerial responsibility and no influence on budget

Key Working Relationships:

Regular liaison with other members of team and warehouse operatives

Level of Decision Making:

On occasion the Cleaner will be required to work un-supervised

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
