Warehouse Manager-  Croyden

 

Working within a large Construction Group with this being one of many branches UK wide. My client are a well known and successful distributor and building products.

£30,000- £3500 a year

Full-time, Permanent (Hours 6.30-3.30 or 7.00-4.00 ) Mon – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, planning the jobs and outbound deliveries according to customer requirements.
  • Day to day management of Warehouse Operatives, Drivers & Site Supervisors, ensuring customer orders and deliveries are completed in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security of the work environment
  • Traffic Management
  • Ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are carried out and up to date for all areas and activities in the warehouse.
  • Liaise with internal colleagues and access project folders on the network to monitor the status of customer orders and deliveries.
  • Co-ordinate logistics with the Branch Manager regarding everything coming in and out of the warehouse.
  • Support the team to produce customer orders accurately by fabricating the cladding panels to the required production drawings. This involves cutting and drilling.
  • Pack and palletise the panels and fixing system components accurately and safely for transport to site.
  • Receive and store goods in the warehouse in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all consumable stock levels are maintained including critical spares and PPE equipment.
  • Carry out a quarterly stock takes of all materials and consumables in the warehouse
  • Managing the team’s additional hours and approving holiday request forms
  • Any other reasonable requests from Management

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager/Supervisor role
  • Ideally hold UK driving licence
  • Ability to communicate at all levels – good written and verbal English
  • Forklift truck certificate or experience (if expired this can be retaken)
  • Some flexibility in works hours may be required
  • A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude, looking for solutions rather than problems
  • Professional attitude and the commitment to provide the highest standard of customer service
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word) to a good standard

Desirable:

  • Experience in a construction or industrial environment
  • GCSE in Maths and English
