Warehouse Manager- Croyden
Working within a large Construction Group with this being one of many branches UK wide. My client are a well known and successful distributor and building products.
£30,000- £3500 a year
Full-time, Permanent (Hours 6.30-3.30 or 7.00-4.00 ) Mon – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, planning the jobs and outbound deliveries according to customer requirements.
- Day to day management of Warehouse Operatives, Drivers & Site Supervisors, ensuring customer orders and deliveries are completed in line with internal and external requirements.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security of the work environment
- Traffic Management
- Ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are carried out and up to date for all areas and activities in the warehouse.
- Liaise with internal colleagues and access project folders on the network to monitor the status of customer orders and deliveries.
- Co-ordinate logistics with the Branch Manager regarding everything coming in and out of the warehouse.
- Support the team to produce customer orders accurately by fabricating the cladding panels to the required production drawings. This involves cutting and drilling.
- Pack and palletise the panels and fixing system components accurately and safely for transport to site.
- Receive and store goods in the warehouse in a safe manner.
- Ensure all consumable stock levels are maintained including critical spares and PPE equipment.
- Carry out a quarterly stock takes of all materials and consumables in the warehouse
- Managing the team’s additional hours and approving holiday request forms
- Any other reasonable requests from Management
Essential:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager/Supervisor role
- Ideally hold UK driving licence
- Ability to communicate at all levels – good written and verbal English
- Forklift truck certificate or experience (if expired this can be retaken)
- Some flexibility in works hours may be required
- A positive team player, with demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, looking for solutions rather than problems
- Professional attitude and the commitment to provide the highest standard of customer service
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word) to a good standard
Desirable:
- Experience in a construction or industrial environment
- GCSE in Maths and English
