Overall Purpose of the Role
To assist with the day to day running of the warehouse including despatch and goods in and perform all duties to a high standard and within set timelines.
Main Duties
- Ensuring all procedures are met therefore maintaining health & safety.
- Goods movements using counter balance and pivot fork lift trucks.
- Communicate clearly with all members of the team.
- Ensuring correct despatch of finished products and accurate booking in of raw materials
- Ensure warehouse is tidy at the end of each day, sweeping and mopping the floor and under any accessible racking.
- Keep outside area free from litter and sweep any areas where leaves have built up.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean hygienic working environment.
- Maintain standards to meet company quality and operational procedures.
- Drive improvement in site standards
- Perform any other duties to as assigned to insure success of projects, individuals and the company
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job).
Essential:
- Applicants must be able to understand read and write English to a good standard.
- The job holder should be reliable, trustworthy and able to work without direct supervision.
- Due to the operation the job holder may be required to lift and move weights up to and including 25kgs. Operators must be able to stand for the full shift.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible Team Player.
- Good time keeper and ability to organise task completion in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
- Able to work using own initiative as well as being part of a team.
Desirable:
- Training in COSHH.
- Experience in food handling and hygiene/HACCP.
- Experience of safety in a food factory environment.
