We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our small Warehouse team. This role does include an element of driving, so the successful candidate will need to have a full, clean driving licence and preferably prior experience delivering to customers.




Role Responsibilities:



  • Day to day administration of inbound and outbound bookings by utilising third party software and a courier network, to maintain high standards in shipping solutions.

  • Accurate picking and packing of customer orders.

  • Accurate receipts of inbound deliveries.

  • Accurate stock locating and transfers between warehouse and technical operations area.

  • Keep all relevant Warehouse records up-to-date and communicate any changes/delays to appropriate departments.

  • Monitor progress of outbound shipments and communicate delays to the appropriate dept.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with preferred carriers, freight forwarders and couriers where applicable.

  • Maintain and produce accurate commercial paperwork upon request.

  • Driving the company van for occasional same day deliveries (within 100 mile radius) and daily stock collection (within 15 mile radius).

  • Administration of consignment route planning, including own vehicle planning, to assist in ensuring the most cost-effective methods are utilised to enable speedy freight transition and delivery.




Experience & Skills:



  • Previous employment within a warehouse environment is desirable

  • Possession of a valid Electric Pallet Stacker licence preferred.

  • Full clean UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 3 years to meet insurance requirements.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to assist with other depts as required.

  • Self-sufficient for managing deliveries

  • Demonstrable knowledge of picking and packing customer orders.

  • Experience of delivering goods to customers, in a customer facing capacity.




Salary & Benefits:

The salary is up to Β£24,500 per annum, plus a quarterly bonus scheme based on company performance.

Location & Hours:

Usual working location will be at our office based in Kemble, Gloucestershire. We also have a flexible Hybrid Working policy which enables a mix of office and home working.


Our working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00/09:00-17:30 & Friday 08:30-16:30/09:00-17:00.
