About the role 

Working as a key member of the operations team the warehouse operative works with the warehouse supervisor to deliver the smooth running of the warehouse. Ensuring all stock movement is both time and cost efficient this role calls for you to lead by example demonstrating best working practice at all times and championing the core values of CDGL.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Demonstrate an efficient and effective approach to all working practices.
  • Lead by example offering training and support where required.
  • Ensure all products are packed and ready for collection.
  • ​Ensuring good relationships are maintained with suppliers and couriers. 
  • ​Liaising with Logistics team & Sales Support to assist with customer returns and other logistical challenges.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment leading by example at all times.
  • Ensuring stock holding is kept to the optimum level.
  • Goods-In.
  • Assist Management of Pick-Pack procedure.
  • Assist Management of dispatch procedure.
  • Assist Management of returns procedure.
  • Reporting to the warehouse supervisor on a daily basis, making sure any changes to planned workload are communicated swiftly and solutions acted upon.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring the quality of goods.

Skills Required: 

  • Highly motivated team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to form good working relationships with people. 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Good punctuality and time management. 
  • Ability to take initiative and to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ambitious to Progress through the business
