Job Description


We are recruiting for a permanent Warehouse operative in one of the UKs Leading Distributors of Computer Components, Peripherals, and Consumer Electronics Products based in Verwood, Dorset.



Twilight Shift Pattern


 


Hours: Sunday 1pm to 8.30pm, Monday -Thursday 5pm to 12:30am


 


Salary: £13 per hour - 35 weekly hours (paid monthly)


 


25 days holiday + Bank Holidays


 


Job Overview:


 


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

               Receiving Goods: Unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, and recording incoming stock into our system.
               Stock Control: Managing inventory levels, stock rotation, and keeping accurate records of stock movements.
               Order Picking: Selecting products based on order requirements, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked.
               Packing & Dispatching: Packing orders securely and preparing them for dispatch to customers, ensuring that all shipping labels and documents are correct.
               Maintaining Warehouse Organisation: Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe, adhering to health and safety standards.
              Equipment Use: Operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts or pallet trucks (training provided if necessary).

Skills & Qualifications:

               Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment (preferred but not essential).
               Basic computer literacy to handle inventory management systems.
               Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order processing.
               Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
               Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving products.
               Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
               Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.

Additional Requirements:

               Forklift licence or willingness to undergo forklift training (preferred).
               Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods.
