Warehouse  Supervisor - 9 Months FTC


Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire – onsite 

Total Package 



  • Up to £31K base salary

Accountabilities:



  • Adhere and Promote all Warehouse Safety, Health and Environment Policies, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

  • Responsible for liaising with the SHE Team and organising all MHE maintenance and LOLER tests, racking inspections and insurance inspections, and for maintaining an up-to-date schedule of Warehouse Safety Checks (SHE-FT-099) and ladder / pump truck inspections

  • Responsible for day-today management and allocation of work tasks within department to achieve service levels.

  • Accountable for acting as a role model for Arqiva Cultural Goals.

  • Responsible for delivery of Warehouse & Logistics KPI's

  • Responsible for business liaison on Warehouse & Logistics activity across all teams within Arqiva

  • Responsible for producing and updating registered task-based work instructions and associated supporting information/documents.

  • Responsible for Planning and Implementing Warehouse Capacity Management initiatives.

  • 1st point of escalation within the team to manage transport/warehouse and logistics queries from either Suppliers or internal Arqiva teams.

  • Responsible for leading investigations into missing consignments with all 3rd party logistics suppliers

  • Responsible for weekly service review calls with logistics suppliers and day-to day management of supplier KPI’s

  • Accountable for efficient and productive Goods In and Goods Out activity

  • Contribute feedback to line manager about the team for regular 1-2-1's, weekly/monthly meetings, mid-year, and end of year reviews.

  • Responsible for reviewing daily performance of the Warehouse & Logistics Team through data analysis and feeding back details to the Warehouse & Logistics Lead

  • Responsible for running audit and cycle count data for the warehouse team to action.

  • Responsible for updating inventory and asset systems with the results of audits and cycle counts.

  • Responsible for effective implementation of Quarantine and Disposal Processes 


Experience/ Expertise:



  • Track record of adhering to and promoting health and safety practices

  • Experience of supervising, motivating, and developing a team in a technical 'Goods Out & In' environment 

  • Experience of implementing accurate shipping and import/export paperwork policy

  • Ability to understand processes and communicate these in a straightforward and un-ambiguous way.

  • Detailed Experience of using Asset and Inventory systems to manage inventory/stock, audit, and process goods in and goods out activity.

  • Experience of problem solving and root cause analysis

  • Experience of day-to day management of a Logistics/Transportation suppliers


 


Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s):



  • Strong experience of ensuring Warehouse Health and Safety policy is understood and followed.

  • Highly competent using an industry standard inventory and order management system.

  • Able to supervise a team to support them to work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way to follow and adhere to process.

  • Extensive knowledge of processes within a Warehouse and Logistics Environment.

  • High personal standards for quality and accuracy when entering data into systems and picking stock.

  • Strong 'team' ethic to lead by example and willingness to support other team members.

  • Track record of high standards for warehouse management and housekeeping

  • Excellent communication, able to act as primary contact for all Warehouse and Logistics escalations
