Description


We are looking for a Warehouse Team Manager working across our existing Warton 8 Hangar Facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the individual will be expected to support the Operations Manager in ensuring an effective warehouse operation is established and maintained to meet all key performance indicators and exceed customer expectations 




Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.

Day to Day  





  • Ensure a proactive approach to Health and Safety  





  • Proactively motivate the team to achieve daily and weekly KPIs and ensure deadlines are met, reviewing team performance regularly with development plans   





  • Provide a responsive and professional service to customers and staff, ensuring all escalations are dealt with to a high standard and in a timely manner  





  • Manage and maintain accurate process flows, work instructions and quality documents  





  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained and inducted, arranging refresher training where required and ensuring the Skills Matrix is current  





  • Manage performance, attendance, timekeeping, overtime and sickness levels of individual colleagues, and action as per procedures  





  • Ensure effective communication throughout the operation, communicating planned requirements, providing information on performance, company news and procedures  





  • Act as key holder for designated site(s) as required  





  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonable required for the effective management of the operation  





  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders across the Wincanton business reaching into the Business Technology Solutions function

  • PC literate and numerate, with good communication skills, including a minimum of a basic understanding of Microsoft Office as required

  • Ability to use IT systems in accordance with training provided  





  • Strong operational knowledge  





  • Project leadership and management experience
