You will be working for a Top 100 global forwarder, with 150 offices in 80 countries, providing access to 5,000 logistics professionals worldwide. We leverage enthusiasm, experience and resources to reduce costs, improve product availability and increase responsiveness throughout our client's global supply chains.
To work safely & effectively within a warehouse operation consistently achieving the required levels of performance whilst ensuring quality of work always. You will work closely within a team to ensure the warehouse runs well.
Duties:
Checking in of freight on 2 different systems (ERTS Freight and General Freight)
Locating Freight in correct areas of warehouse
Inputting data onto the computer
Booking in of different types of freight
Check for condition of the freight
Repacking of samples for exporting to other countries
Ensuring that the equipment being used is safe
Daily bond checks to avoid any cross labeling, and correcting if wrong
Sorting and labeling cargo for export abroad
Unloading and palletizing freight for safe storage
Liaising with the transport department on freight due in and size of vehicles requires
Ensuring that all documentation is correct
Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
Working to health and safety standards
