About The Role:

Days of Working: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day Mon-Fri (07:00-15:00). Some weekend working will be required to cover sickness and holiday. Successful candidate will work in collaboration with another site Supervisor managing orders, deliveries to multiple sites and the daily running of a small food distribution hub. Enhanced hourly rate whilst working weekends. 

An exciting new role within the OCS Hub.   As a Hub Supervisor, you will work closely with another Hub Supervisor and the OCS hub team, kitchen and housekeepers to ensure food distribution meets high standards of timeliness, hygiene, and quality. You will supervise daily catering operations, making sure staffing levels are appropriate and all systems are monitored and recorded, you will also keep an eye on wastage. Plus, you will ensure cleaning schedules are followed daily to comply with the Food Safety Management System. Responsible for the operational support of the OCS Hub Team, and Catering Team on outer sites and all soft services, delivering excellent Customer Service by ensuring all requests from users within the Cambridgeshire and ELFT (all sites) are executed in timely, accurate and professional manner, within the agreed service level requirements. 


To support the Soft Services Facilities Manager to support resources across the sites from the Hub. These duties may be carried out in patient and non-patient environments.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the hub support and transport function.
  • Ensure service levels are met across all sites in line with contractual requirements.
  • Coach and mentor junior picker packers.
  • Support staff engagement, motivation, safety, and welfare.
  • Work with HR & Training Manager to ensure staff development and mandatory training is completed.
  • Oversee picking, packing, labelling, and despatch of goods.
  • Manage order slips and ensure correct placement in delivery areas.
  • Use computer systems and scanners to track and process orders.
  • Track inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Supervise inbound receiving, stocking, and restocking of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety best practices.
  • Report complaints/comments to Soft Services FM team.
  • Adhere to company and Trust policies, work schedules, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene
  •  Previous Supervisary and Warehouse experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • An analytical approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a front line, sometimes a reactive environment
