We’re looking for a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative who will play a vital role in keeping our warehouse operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
We are recruiting for a Monday-to-Friday night Shipment position,.

In this position, you’ll make a real impact by ensuring goods are handled accurately, equipment is operated safely, and stock is moved and recorded correctly.

Main Duties

To include, but not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Preparing consignments for outbound routes in line with company procedures.
  • Scanning goods into and out of the warehouse using the relevant systems.
  • Conducting and documenting regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with operational requirements.
  • Organizing stock within the warehouse to optimize space and ensure efficient retrieval.
  • Performing pre-use inspections on all Materials Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts, and reporting any faults or issues immediately.
  • Supporting compliance initiatives by adhering to health and safety regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and industry standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
  • Assisting with routine warehouse audits and completing compliance-related checklists and logs.
  • Identifying and reporting non-conformance issues, damaged goods, or unsafe practices to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Please note the employee may be required to undertake additional tasks in line with the evolving needs of the business.


Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure all stock checks are completed accurately and on time to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Conduct daily inspections of MHE to verify they are fit for use and report any faults.
  • Organize stock systematically to meet operational requirements and compliance standards.
  • Assist in maintaining records for audits, including equipment inspections, stock reports, and incident logs.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Participate in training sessions to remain updated on compliance protocols and procedures.

What You Bring:

Skills and Experience

•    Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred).
•    Previous warehouse experience is essential.
•    Familiarity with warehouse compliance standards, including health and safety regulations (desired).
•    Strong organizational skills to manage stock efficiently and accurately.
•    Proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment or compliance issues.
•    Attention to detail, particularly when performing stock checks or documenting compliance records.

Qualifications
•    Counterbalance Forklift Licence (required).
•    Knowledge of health and safety practices, such as COSHH and Manual Handling (preferred).
