Machine Operator – 5 Crew Shifts (1800 hours)

Role description
Ardagh Glass Doncaster currently has a vacancy for a Machine Operator. Reporting to the Shift Supervision, the successful applicant will be responsible for the operation of Production Machines to achieve maximum efficiency and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Identify defects and problems with container quality and machine performance, repair according to standard operating procedures or report immediately to the supervisor to avoid production delays
- Carry out swabbing in accordance with pre-determined cycles
- Ability to record data in internal systems
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures & best practice
- Carry out house- keeping in accordance with hygiene rules
- Conform to Health and Safety Regulations
- Commitment to continuous improvement
Required skills / qualifications:
- Be organised with a high attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and proactive
- Have good communication skills and be a team player
- Have good observational skills
- Understanding of mechanical pricipals is desireable
What we offer:
- Salary minimum £39,697 - £46,413 maximum per annum
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
- Normal shift pattern is determined by the 5-crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts and then a six-day rest period which includes 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota / Holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota
