Job Purpose / Overview: Warehouse Operations are a vital part of our supply chain, and our Operatives are at the front line of these operations. Working as part of a busy team, the Warehouse Leading Hand will be exposed to a variety of jobs across the warehouse, leading by example in each to drive the operations team daily. A hands-on leader who will also deputise in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Drive the daily pick, pack and despatch operation, ensuring exceptional accuracy and standards.

  • Drive the daily product booking in, putaway and replenishment activities, again ensuring accuracy.

  • Partake in stock counts, and assist with Customer Service and Stock Control enquiries

  • Drive the swift and accurate container de-canting operation and palletising/wrapping of inbound/outbound goods.

  • Forklift activities – loading/unloading/receiving/replenishment.

  • Ensure accurate data is entered into the WMS using hand held scanners

  • Adhere to all warehousing handling and shipping legislation requirements.

  • Maintain standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Security throughout the warehouse.

  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager, partaking in menial HR duties and act as a key holder on site.


Required Qualifications & Experience:



  • Previous warehouse experience essential, preferably in a leading hand/supervisor role.

  • Counterbalance FLT Licence essential. Narrow Aisle Flexi/Bendi FLT Licence beneficial.

  • Angling experience / knowledge is desirable but not essential

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes

  • Self-Starter and proactive

  • Excellent communication and work ethic.

  • Analytical experience and an eye for detail.


Hours: Primarily Monday to Friday DAYS. Due to the seasonal aspect of our business we are looking to implement ‘annualised hours’, with peak hours being worked April through August, and during November.
