Warehouse Manager (FMCG)

Salary = £35-40k (DOE) + strong benefits package

The Role:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process. Leads people, processes, and systems, in order to ensure goods are received and managed to ensure productivity targets are met. You will be working will other operational functions to ensure all necessary functions are carried out.

Duties include:

  • Leadership of function, people resource onboarding, work plan allocation, development through coaching and performance management
  • Develop and deliver the warehouse plan to support the business operational plan through management of resource across people safety, food safety, service and cost
  • Management of stock including the receipting, put away, pick, issuing, stock taking and reporting including any stock stored at 3rd party locations
  • Effective management of storage locations both onsite and offsite and capacity optimisation
  • Senior Leadership Team member who will actively contribute to the business operational plan and the business strategic plan
  • Leadership of team, setting direction and managing performance
  • Lead the creating of and executing the warehouse plan to deliver the business operational plan
  • Effective cross functional relationships and stakeholder management to deliver the operational plan
  • Accountable for function KPI’s – people safety, food safety, service and cost

The Person:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following:

  • Good Communication Skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral) and a working knowledge of English
  • At Least 2 years Warehouse Management experience
  • Able to translate a business operational plan into a warehouse function plan to deliver against service and cost
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of Food Hygiene and importance of good Health and Safety practice and procedures
  • Good basic physical fitness for a physically demanding role
  • Be trustworthy and reliable
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software, e-mail and the internet

 

The Package:

  • Excellent salary available £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
  • Strong holidays and benefits package
