A well-established leader in the manufacturing industry, based in County Antrim, seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee their logistics and distribution operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic logistics team, managing the delivery and dispatch of premium products across the UK and Ireland.


About the Role:


The Logistics Manager will report to the General Manager and manage end-to-end dispatch and delivery processes, driving smooth transportation, timely shipments, and optimal customer service.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee dispatch, ensuring accurate packaging and shipment preparation.

  • Coordinate third-party logistics providers and transport partners, ensuring cost-effective and reliable deliveries across regions.

  • Optimise delivery routes and schedules for timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

  • Liaise with sales and customer service teams to meet delivery expectations and address any issues promptly.

  • Negotiate and manage SLAs with transport providers to secure the best value and service.

  • Implement delivery tracking systems; monitor and report on KPIs such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify ways to reduce outbound logistics costs without compromising service.

  • Ensure all operations align with UK/Irish transport regulations, health, and environmental standards.

  • Lead and motivate a team in efficient daily operations, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Regularly assess logistics processes to improve efficiency, cost management, and customer experience, including implementing new systems as needed.

The Person:


It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following:


 


  • Minimum of 5 yearsexperience in a logistics management position, ideally in manufacturing or a related sector

  • Proven track record in dispatch and delivery management

  • Strong team leadership and change management skills

  • Expertise in logistics software, route planning, and tracking systems

  • Familiarity with UK/Irish transport regulations, including cross-border compliance

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed for dispatch oversight
