About the Role

We are accelerating our journey towards a fully connected, data-driven, and future-ready manufacturing operation. The Digital Factory Lead is a pivotal architect of this transformation, shaping and deploying Haleon’s Factory of the Future vision across our global sites. This role partners closely with Quality and Supply Chain (QSC), Technology, Data, Manufacturing Sites, and the Global Operational Excellence team to build the digital foundations that enable world-class performance, operational excellence, and empowered teams.

This senior leadership role goes beyond delivering individual digital projects. It orchestrates an integrated portfolio of digital workstreams that are hard-wired to Haleon’s manufacturing excellence strategy and our definition of “what great looks like.” The Digital Factory Lead ensures that every digital solution—whether foundational infrastructure or advanced use case—contributes directly to productivity, resilience, and long-term capability building across the network.

Key responsibilities

  • Shape and lead Haleon’s Factory of the Future strategy, ensuring digital foundations, platforms, and capabilities are aligned to the manufacturing excellence vision and drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Partner closely with manufacturing sites to understand operational needs, co-create digital use cases, and ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and embedded into daily operations. Be the digital translator of manufacturing losses that are embedded in our HABS progression tool box.

  • Collaborate with the Global Operational Excellence team to align digital workstreams with HAPS, capability building, and Haleon’s broader manufacturing excellence roadmap.

  • Lead the team to define and implementation team to deploy core digital systems (e.g., MES/PAS-X, connected worker platforms, OEE solutions) as part of an integrated digital architecture, ensuring scalability, compliance, and value realization across multiple sites.

  • Translate site needs into a unified digital roadmap, ensuring use cases are prioritized, standardized, and embedded into a cohesive network-wide digital operating model.

  • Act as a strategic influencer across business, technology, engineering, and quality, championing IT/OT convergence, data governance, and platform-based thinking.

  • Provide governance and oversight for digital foundations and use-case portfolios, ensuring resources, timelines, and investments support the broader Factory of the Future vision.

  • Benchmark externally (e.g., Gartner, McKinsey) to integrate leading practices and ensure Haleon remains at the forefront of digital manufacturing.

These responsibilities require a strategic, collaborative leader with a deep understanding of digital transformation, manufacturing systems, and the ability to drive results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Operational & Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of manufacturing systems, digital platforms, and IT/OT infrastructure required for a modern factory ecosystem. Experience with MES system implementation is a must.

  • Value-Driven Portfolio Management: Prioritizes and sequences digital workstreams to maximize impact, scalability, and long-term capability building.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Builds trust across functions, sites, and geographies; translates complex digital concepts into clear, actionable direction. Innovation & Agility: Challenges legacy ways of working, embraces experimentation, and drives continuous improvement across the network.

Qualifications & experience

Essential

  • The ideal candidate will bring a blend of industry technical experience and, a customer-focused mindset to drive digital transformation across our global operations.

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, or a Science-related field.

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations and digital transformation.

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale digital deployments across complex networks.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing systems.

  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and project management excellence.

  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on value creation and user experience.

  • Innovative, agile, and comfortable with rapid iteration and learning.

Preferred

Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives within GAMAM (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Meta) organizations, demonstrating a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies, scalable solutions, and best practices in driving large-scale digital innovation across global operations.
