Job Role: Windows Factory Manager
The Windows Factory Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the window and
door production facility. This role involves overseeing production planning, resource allocation, quality
assurance, and workforce management, ensuring that operations run smoothly, safely, and in alignment
with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management
o Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.
o Ensure production schedules are met to fulfill customer orders and deadlines.
o Monitor output and address any bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the production line.
o Implement and refine lean manufacturing practices to optimize resource use and minimize
waste.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
o Ensure all manufactured windows meet the company’s and industry’s quality standards.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high product quality.
o Work with the team to identify defects and implement corrective actions.
o Ensure all production activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and industry
regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
3. Workforce & Team Management
o Lead and supervise production staff, including training, coaching, and performance
evaluations.
o Set clear expectations and delegate responsibilities to shift supervisors and production
workers.
o Motivate and guide the team to maintain high productivity, engagement, and morale.
o Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.
4. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight
o Oversee the maintenance and operation of factory machinery, ensuring everything is in
good working order.
o Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular preventive maintenance and
reduce downtime.
o Assess and recommend new machinery or upgrades to improve production efficiency and
quality.
5. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
o Manage the inventory of raw materials and ensure timely procurement to meet production
needs.
o Implement inventory control systems to avoid shortages, overstocking, and waste.
6. Cost & Budget Control
o Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and operational
efficiency.
o Ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
7. Health & Safety Compliance
o Enforce and maintain workplace safety policies, conducting regular safety training
sessions.
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Investigate any workplace accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future
incidents.
8. Process Improvement & Innovation
o Analyze production performance to identify areas for process improvement.
o Implement new technologies, machinery, or automation where beneficial.
o Continuously seek ways to improve product quality, factory efficiency, and employee
safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing management, ideally within window
production or a similar industry.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management abilities
o In-depth knowledge of window manufacturing processes and materials
o Expertise in quality control and assurance
o Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization techniques
o Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
