We have established customers in aerospace (both civil and military), as well as in the nuclear, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Manager to manage all site logistics activities within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is a critical role responsible for delivering exceptional service to our internal stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all logistics operations including goods-in, goods-out, warehousing, and shipping activities
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient material flow across the site
  • Deliver operational excellence through standardised processes and continuous improvement initiatives in line with departmental objectives
  • Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock accuracy, and efficient storage solutions
  • Oversee import/export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, Export Control, and ITAR (where applicable)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departmental stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on key KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, cost, and productivity
  • Implement robust stock control processes including cycle counting, discrepancy investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Coach, and develop a multidisciplinary logistics and stores team
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance with all site standards

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have strong expertise across goods-in, goods-out, warehousing, shipping, and internal material movement, alongside an understanding of Export Control and ITAR compliance requirements. The candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field aswell as robust technical knowledge of inventory management, stock control processes, and warehouse optimisation. The candidate will be confident using ERP systems with the ability to manage data, reporting, and performance metrics and have an analytical mindset to apply root cause analysis, continuous improvement methodologies and drive operational efficiencies. We are seeking an individual who has proven people management capability, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to enable effective collaboration across functions and with external partners. Accordingly, the candidate will be highly organised, resilient, and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
