We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our operations Team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.
The role:
As Logistics Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the logistic department.
Key duties:
Leading and managing the day-to-day activities of logistics team, including workload planning, performance management and development.
Setting, monitoring and reviewing team KPIs, such as OTIF, freight costs and shipment performance.
Collaborating with Customer Service team on order status.
Ensuring timely date management of customer orders and schedules of shipments
Providing a hands-on approach to support shipments as required.
Acting as the company lead for customs regulations, import/export compliance and trade compliance.
Maintaining strong working knowledge of Customs Tariff classifications and import/export procedures.
Developing and maintaining group trade compliance policies and procedures.
Ensuring shipping documentation, customs records and logistics processes are accurate and compliant.
Identifying and implementing processes to improve efficiency and customer service levels.
Ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution and movement of goods.
Coordinating freight movements and managing relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and logistics providers.
Working cross-functionally with Planning, Purchasing, Production, Stores and to support customer order and operational priorities.

Professional accreditation in customs, trade compliance, shipping or logistic
Demonstrated leadership experience
Experience in shipping management
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-stater with the ability to drive projects
Commercially aware and able to work cross-functionally.
Good interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
