Job Title: Machine Operator
Reporting to: Senior Crew Manager
Location: Home-based, with extensive travel throughout the UK and overseas to installation sites as required. It should be noted that a significant proportion of time will be spent working away from home during the week and possibly at weekends at peak times.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Operate SISGrass hybrid turf installation machinery with precision and efficiency to ensure the highest standards of installation quality (full training provided).
- Deliver installations professionally, in full compliance with client specifications and company standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly and effectively to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES/ TASKS
- General responsibilities
- 1.1.Operate SISGrass hybrid machinery accurately and efficiently in line with project specifications.
- 1.2.Liaise daily with SISGrass Supervisors to discuss progress, plans, and project requirements.
- 1.3.Identify and resolve mechanical or technical issues safely, efficiently, and in coordination with the project team.
- 1.4.Ensure adherence to SIS Health & Safety procedures and site work instructions by all operatives and visitors.
- 1.5.Operate additional site plant machinery as required to support installation activities.
- 1.6.Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including machinery maintenance, part replacements, and spare part requirements.
- 1.7.Ensure all on-site personnel operate SISGrass machinery safely and correctly.
- 1.8.Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery at the end of each project, ensuring it is in good working order for transport and future use.
Post holders are also expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and scope of the post.
