Meat Packers - 6am to 3.30pm - Poole

Job Description

We are recruiting for Meat Packers for a long established wholesaler in Poole, Dorset.

The ideal applicant will be eager to progress and go through a full training program to become a fully skilled factory operative.

However, we are looking to develop people who are keen to learn a new trade so these skills are not essential.

• Starting rate for unskilled candidates is £11.44 per hour and will potentially rise after probationary period to £12.00 per hour approximately.
• Overtime paid at time and a half after successful probation period.
• 6am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
• Weekends off.

• You can pay £22 per month for a meat hamper containing Beef Joints, Pork Joints, Chicken, Meat Balls plus other items. 

Responsibilities:

• Packing meat into packets after quality checks
• Ensuring GMP Standards are followed.
• Helping out in other areas of the factory as and when required.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Food manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
• Numeracy and reading skills required to work to customer specification.
• Willingness to work in a repetitive role and low temperature environment.
