The Quality Manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards. This role involves embedding lean manufacturing methodologies to improve process efficiency, ensuring adherence to regulations, and cultivating a culture focused on safety, sustainability, and high-quality standards. The position demands leadership in ISO 9001 and AS9100 auditing. The role will be based in the Buckinghamshire region, UK.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the Quality Management System to meet ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Lead internal and external ISO 9001 and AS9100 audits, ensuring thorough preparation, execution, and resolution of any findings.
- Managing the creation, implementation, and documentation of quality policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with various teams to define and monitor quality objectives and KPIs.
- Managing customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring effective solutions and customer satisfaction.
- Applying lean manufacturing principles to minimise waste, improve product quality, and boost operational efficiency.
- Performing root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality and process issues.
- Facilitating lean training and workshops, promoting tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Developing and maintaining EHS policies and procedures in line with local regulations and organisational standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- ISO 9001 and AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
- Additional EHS-related certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in a quality management role.
- Demonstrable expertise in ISO 9001 and AS9100 auditing and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
