We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Stockroom Supervisor to support our Retail Team, based at our flagship store in Chelsea, London. OKA Chelsea is our beautiful flagship store in the heart of London’s design scene. Here customers can explore our entire collection across three floors, see our pieces styled in seasonal room sets and access our many services such as our custom-made sofa service Tailored by OKA.

​​Reporting directly to Store Manager, the Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the organisation and execution of the general daily activities of the store, ensuring the team delivers an enhanced retail experience for OKA customers through the provision of outstanding customer service, product knowledge and enthusiasm for beautiful interiors. The Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance requirements for the store, including H&S compliance, stockroom and showroom floor standards, including stock integrity, replenishment and fulfilment and for tracking sales orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

​Operational:

  • Coordination of deliveries, including relevant documentation, directing and supporting team with unloading, replenishment, Click & Collect, stock takes and seasonal changes.
  • Owner of Store Operation & Maintenance procedure and H&S policies and procedures.
  • Guiding team members in placement of stock, ensuring all relevant procedures are followed and any discrepancies are reported, investigated and corrected.
  • Stockroom organisation and appearance, ensuring staff maintain order and tidiness at all times.
  • Maintenance of the showroom floor displays, in collaboration with Visual Merchandising Team.
  • Assisting with installation of product displays into the showroom.
  • Control of stock management processes, housekeeping and cycle counts to maintain inventory levels in store.
  • Working with Store Management and Merchandising to review stock minumums and maximum levels to ensure adequate stock levels to support display and sales.
  • ·​Supporting sales/recalls of stock for the wider business.
  • Management of faulty or unticketed stock.
  • Picking stock for shop floor replenishment and maintaining commercial bays.
  • Coordination of shop stock take and other key commercial events such as promotions and sales.
  • Supporting Head Office and Management team with new stock management processes in store by testing and providing feedback. 
  • Providing feedback on any stock related issues that arise in store.
  • Provision of inventory training to store team.

Health & Safety:

  • Maintaining highest standards of H&S to minimise risk to internal and external customers.
  • Maintaining all relevant reports, liaising with H&S partners on reporting and visits, facilitating H&S training to store staff, including Fire Procedures, Accident Reports and H&S monthly reporting.
  • Responsibility for reporting and escalating issues to all relevant parties.

Product:

  • Ensure store is merchandised to company standards, working with Visual Merchandising on regular shop display updates.
  • Maintain stock levels, management of replenishment and procurement of consumable goods including swatches, bags, paper etc.
  • Assist with end of sale packing and returning of stock to Warehouse in accordance with operational standards.
  • Assist on shop floor with customer greeting, queries, sales and housekeeping.
  • Proactive member of the shop floor team.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous luxury retail experience, ideally within the furniture or homeware sectors
  • Good DIY skills (including the use of power tools)/ Ability to lift and move heavy furniture
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours as the sector demands
  • Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-moving business, taking on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Enthusiasm for driving sustainable improvements throughout the operation
